An author at LinkedIn by the name of Lynette White shared with our writers group reasons why she writes. I agree with all of these:
"A middle aged woman going through Chemotherapy wanted stories to keep her spirits up while she was taking the treatments.
A concerned father bought one for his son so he had "wholesome" stories to read.
A young couple bought two because their hectic lives rarely allowed them to enjoy full length novels.
Well known author Tracy Hickman told me one time that he writes because he knows his words change lives, even if it is only one life at a time. After this weekend I understand what he meant. These stories may be short, but you never know who's life that short story will change."
